Discovery Phase is the integral phase of
Program or Project Management lifecycle. The whole project success lies on how
a Business Analyst collects the requirements from the client and then does a
right fitment Gap analysis. This is followed by some repeated with the business
users what is available in the product and which needs to get Customized. So,
Business Analyst is a critical position in a Company as all the times he will
be on the client facing roles and his decision will facilitate the success of
the Project delivery eventually. Hence this role demands to be articulate and
be communicative in capturing the detail step by step requirements based on
inputs from the business and the client team. As a Business Analyst he or she
should be both domain and technology sound. He should be able to guide the
client business user’s teams from the product user interface to get a feel of
the available product functionality. Equally important are the soft skills
necessary to convince the client and bring on board in agreement for getting
the document sign-offs for starting the next phases of Program or Project
